Been using this for years and its proven to be very reliable. Doing the math in the morning helps my mind to adjust to being awake and setting about my day. Plus, Ive noticed that Im better at mental math overall. My only complaint is that they should incorporate some new puzzles, as the same old ones tend to get a little boring.

Its a wonderful app with one draw back. If you silence your phone, all it will do is buzz every 3-5 minutes. It works great otherwise.

Its a very polished app and I would recommend it to anyone in need of a better alarm. My two largest complaints with it however are: 1. If you "miss" an alarm (i.e. you woke up on your own and left home without resolving the alarm), it will doggedly pester you with dozens of notifications and sounds. Since you may be miles away from the barcode that turns the alarm off, your only option to shut it up is to turn off its notifications. The app needs some sort of test whereby it can determine that the user is indeed awake, and no longer in need of being awoken. This is my only complaint, because the next one isnt the apps fault. 2. Apples limited API makes it hard to use. Apple doesnt give developers the ability to make an alarm trigger while the phone is muted or in sleep mode (like the vanilla iOS alarm can), so to properly go off in the morning you need to set the alarm, make sure your phone is unmuted, then leave the app open and place your phone face down. The app will then turn off the screen and wait until your alarm time. I actually have an iOS alarm on workdays as a backup in case I forget to properly prepare my alarm.

I LOOOOOVE the alarm. Ive been using it for over 3 months and have never had an issue waking up. Last week, I noticed that if I press and hold the home button (on the iPhone), then Siri comes on, and it makes the alarm stop ringing. I woke up 2 hours late today! I just wanted to give you guys the heads up. One more things, one of the alarms is what seems to be a war zone. Gun shorts, bombs, etc. Although I dont mind it, I can imagine it may have some issues for those who/have served in the Military. Maybe you can remove that one and make another one. I know that many of them come back with PTSD and would hate them to be in any distress after serving our country. I hope you can fix the Siri thing. In the meantime I will shut off Siri to make sure I keep waking up on time. You guys are awesome!

I got this app primarily for the barcode scanning function to force me to take a medication in the middle of the day, but it looks like the app can only really be used one way - requiring you to complete randomized tasks of which the barcode scan is only one. Also it doesnt appear that youre able to control which alarm sounds are used, nor does it appear to have a vibrate alarm for when your phone is on silent. In all, this is pretty heavily tailored specifically to heavy sleepers/snoozers who I guess cant be trusted to configure the alarm lest they make it easier for themselves to get up. I just wish I didnt have to buy the app to figure this out.

This app wouldve been great. The correct answers to the math problems would never show up. After multiple puzzles and only incorrect answers to choose from I deleted the app to turn the alarm off. I downloaded it 2 more times and the same thing happen with all of the math answers to choose from being incorrect. Disappointed bc this wouldve been perfect for me

Concept is perfect. Its been going great. And then some problems have wrong answers. And I cant click anything. I have to delete the app to turn the alarm off. Honestly guys, please fix this. I love this app.

i have no problem with this app, only it can be annoying. i wake up though and now im never late to school. you get used to that annoying voice that says "its time to wake up" every morning but she will enter your dreams

The answers arent correct for the math problems and I had to delete the app so the alarm would finally shut off. Kind of ridiculous.

So you have an alarm set for 6 am and it will change it to 7 am after daylight savings time. Its been happening since Ive had the app (2 years ish) and Im tired of it. They dont even tell you that it happens and the only fix I have found is to delete the app and reinstall it. I cant believe that they dont know about this bug unless the people that write the app dont even use it or those that live in areas with DST dont tell them.

I use this app every day and it is the only thing that has ever gotten me out of bed. Ever. I highly recommend it to anyone having trouble getting up in the morning. I also love the math practice that it serves as. Note to creators: There might not be a huge need for this, but I would love to see the problems get harder! Im talking trig and calculus! :)

I used to have a horrible struggle of setting like 5 alarms every morning and turning them all off/sleeping through all of them... I really wanted to find one of those puzzle alarm apps, and let me tell you this one is BY FAR the best Ive used!! The weird noises that it plays are just irritating and loud enough to never allow you to go back to bed, and the only way to get them to stop is to solve puzzles and I personally do the barcode scanner of my toothpaste so Ill have to get out of my bed! The only issue with this app is that the alarm is so persistent that it wont stop, even if you accidentally set it for a Saturday or something, you still have to do everything before itll stop

I love this app! Last school year, the normal alarm app resulted in many tardies

This alarm WILL wake you up. I even tried exiting the app to snooze it - nope! I also set the barcode reader so I would have to scan my morning medications. This is a useful wake up tool and reminder. You will also get really good at mental math with this app. If youre not good at mental math, definitely keep scrap paper and pencil nearby. If you get a problem wrong it starts you over at the beginning.

I have to say that the first few times I used it, it was frustrating. But now it one of most effective Wake-up alarms I have found. It will get you up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is only thing that makes me wake up. Have been using it for a while. Keep up the good work!

I use this alarm in so many ways to keep me on track. In the morning, I have to do 5 math/other tasks (and start over if I miss one!) while loud sounds play and an annoying voice gives me a hard time (reading something I write). Then I have to scan something in the bathroom before it finally shuts off. Ive made my own QR codes and put them around the house to get me up from the computer and moving, because I have to scan them to shut off the alarm. I use my own music for that one. Theres even one in my car so I leave on time. Two features would make it the perfect alarm, instead of just the best - being able to set the speech text per alarm instead of in general, and being able to LOCK alarms, so they cant be shut off once they are set. I use a separate bar code alarm app that does this, and it has this feature, though it is in all other ways inferior to Freaky Alarm. I restricted myself from deleting apps, so the only way to stop the locked alarm is follow through or shut down my phone! Anyway, I love Freaky Alarm!

Essential for all fellow snoozers. Just remember to bring the barcode along or disable that feature if youre sleeping away from home... Learned that one the hard way

I use this app everyday and its wonderful. My only problem is that its usefulness is completely negated if you forget to leave the app open overnight or accidentally lock your phone. If that happens, it only plays a quiet little jingle and vibrates. The only time this alarm doesnt work is in those rare instances
